Hey you! Stop stressing so much when you wake up in the morning. Haven’t you noticed that you don’t move as fast when you’re thinking about what might happen even though it hasn’t happened and probably won’t? Why do you do that to yourself? When did you let anxiety take a seat in the passenger side of your ride? And it’s a Bentley for those of you wondering 🙂
Don’t you notice that when you wake up stressed, the rest of your day is full of stress? Now I gotta admit, you’ve done a pretty good job managing it and thank goodness for that This is Us episode (remember Jack and Randall), but it’s starting to impact you way too much.
So I think it’s time you start a new morning habit and I don’t mean doing your morning routine out of order. Do the usual – brush your teeth, wash your face, etc. but I want you to also take a second and start thinking positive thoughts.
The minute you wake up, think about the positives in your life. You may have a long day ahead, but positive thinking will set you straight. Positivity is a choice and when worked on day in and day out, it becomes a habit. A habit that brings inner peace from one thought to the next.
This, will be your new habit!
Now be gentle with yourself as your start this journey. Instilling new habits is work and work takes time so remember to be patient with yourself and celebrate your growth. A journey is a journey and I know you’re down for one!
And while you’re at it, DON’T FORGET THE RED LIPSTICK! Makeup isn’t your thing, but dabbling a bit here and there doesn’t hurt plus, you’re 37. I’m sure Mami will give you permission!
